Fire Risk Assessments
A fire risk assessment is a process involving the systematic evaluation of the factors that determine the hazard from fire, the likelihood that there will be a fire and the consequences if one were to occur.
Our team conducts fire risk assessments in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 in England and Wales. We have experience in a wide range of areas, from residential blocks of flats, offices, shops, universities to care homes.

Compartmentation, Fire Stopping & Fire Door Surveys
Fire compartmentation is the subdivision of buildings into manageable areas of risk, in order to prevent the spread of fire and smoke, and to provide adequate means of escape. Ensuring appropriate fire separation throughout a building is one of the most effective, but often least considered, means of protecting premises and their occupants.
We have vast experience in undertaking compartmentation, fire stopping, and fire door surveys in a variety of premises, including Residential Premises, Community Healthcare, Offices and Care Homes. We will identify breaches and fire doors requiring remediation, and identify works needed to bring the property up to the required standard.
Our surveyors and consultants undertake inspections to identify breaches to the compartmentation, and where deficiencies are identified, we will recommend the required remedial action to ensure a suitable level of compartmentation is achieved.
Our consultants can also provide an inspection service during the completion of remedial works, where we will review the ongoing installation of fire stopping, to ensure the correct products and materials are being used and installed in line with the manufacturer’s guidance and product specifications.
We can provide comprehensive fire door surveys, including inspections to all aspects of each fire door, to ensure that the fire doors within your premises are of a suitable fire resisting standard to prevent the spread of smoke and fire. Our reports include details of all findings, identifying any required remedial works. We can also undertake surveys to identify fire doors within your premises, to advise where they are required.
